The Consumer Electronics Show took place between 6th and 9th of January this year. It was an exhibition of huge proportions showing some useful and some not-so-useful but rather cool gadgets. We saw some amazing car concepts, drones, sport trackers, cameras, and whatnot. However, we’ve put up a list of the most useful business travel accessories to improve your experience .
Acer Revo Build
The Acer Revo Build is a mini-PC which can be carried virtually anywhere. Being just 5.6 centimetres (2.2”) in height and 13 centimetres (5.8”) wide , this tiny cube-like computer comes fully-equipped with a set of three USB ports, one HDMI and one network port. Additionally, for an access to your other devices during your business trip, it has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters. For under $200, you get the Acer Revo Build with 2 gigabytes of RAM and a 32 gigabyte flash memory drive . Just plug it to a TV or monitor with an HDMI output and you’re ready to go!
Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro
Tablets have changed the face of business travel since their dawn back in 2010. The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 takes it up a notch. It comes with some extra features, you travellers will find handy. Apart from its sleek design and great technical specs, this tablet has two functionalities, we personally loved. The first one is its battery, which will work for the astounding 18 hours straight , according to Lenovo’s official website. And if that’s not enough the under $500 piece of tech comes with another useful quality for business travelers and presenters – a built-in rotatable projector . Combined with powerful integrated speakers, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 is your new best friend during presentations!
Livestream Movi
The Livestream Movi is also a camera which you can guess by the name is purposely designed for live streaming of events. Its lens can capture a wide angle of 150 degrees in ultra-HD and 4K and the stereo microphone assures your video has crystal clear sound. Even though the Movi is still in production, you can pre-order it from the official Movi website.
Ricoh Theta S
Ricoh Theta S is a small HD camera. What’s so special about it is that it can stream 360° images and video with audio . It operates through an app in your mobile phone and it has an 8 GB built-in memory. Unfortunately, the Ricoh Theta S’s battery life is low, from what we found out – you can take around 260 photos before you need to recharge. Still, a handy gadget with a variety of uses within the $350 range.
LeTV LE MAX PRO
The modern phone is probably the greatest companion of the business traveler. Apple and the big Android names didn’t use CES’s scene to show off their latest toys and to make big smartphone announcements. This gave a great opportunity to smaller brands to shine. One of the most striking examples of a company which seized that moment was the LeTV.
What’s so special about LeTV’s device is that it has an extremely powerful Snapdragon 820 processor . Actually, Le Max Pro is the first smartphone to use such. Combined with a 6.3 inch display with HD resolution; a 21 MP rear and 2 MP “Ultrapixel” front camera and an expected price tag of about $500, LeTV’s is highly anticipated in the high end flagship smartphone market.
Griffin BreakSafe USB-C
The anxiety from Apple’s MacBook revolves mainly around the fact, it has one single port – a USB Type-C connector. And because the MacBook itself is extremely fragile, most of its users fear one thing above all – tripping over the connector cable and sending their laptop flying in the air. Apple have dealt with that issue by creating the MagSafe adapter – it uses a magnet to connect and requires just a small pull to disconnect.
The Griffin USB-C uses this technology to connect to your MacBook with a small plug with a USB-C connector on the other side. The 1.8 metre (6 ft.) cable will be available in April 2016 for under $40.
DELL Latitude 7370
Last on our list is the DELL Latitute 7370. The business-oriented notebook has a 13.3 inch display that comes in matte finish – a feature which is really rare nowadays. Under the hood, you can choose from the range of Intel Core m processors – m3; m5 and m7. These are not be as powerful as their Core i3; i5 and i7 siblings but are more energy efficient and enough for most of the business users. The Dell Latitude weighs 1.1 kilograms (2.48 lbs) and is 1.4 centimetres (0.56 inches) thick . It has a clean design and on the side you will find micro HDMI, a SD card reader and a traditional USB Type-A port in addition to the two USB C options. What’s even better about this notebook is that you can turn it in a LTE device with a port for a SIM card . Perfect for your next business travel experience!
