Founded in 1983, Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Centre (usually referred to as Maastricht MECC) was renovated in 2006. Another renovation and expansion will take place between 2015 and 2020. In 2016 the venue won an award for a Best Conference Location in the Netherlands, due to its facilities, services, location and accessibility. The fairground is situated by the A2 motorway, within an hour's drive from six major airports, and can be easily reached from around the globe.
The venue offers a total of 29,000 sq metres of indoor exhibition area - the North and South halls cover 10,000 sq metres each, while the West Hall has 7,000 sq metres. The Expo Foyer provides additional 2,500 sq metres surface area, suitable for exhibitions and trade shows. With its multi-purpose space and flexibility, Maastricht MECC accommodates many successful international events such as the art fair TEFAF MAASTRICHT.
