Fira Montjuïc Barcelona
Fira Montjuïc is one of Barcelona’s most historic exhibition and event venues, located in the heart of the city next to Plaça d’Espanya. The venue was built in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition and today combines its historic character with modern facilities for trade fairs, congresses, conferences and other large-scale events.
The venue offers around 153,000 m² of gross exhibition area and comprises seven halls. Its central location within Montjuïc Park places visitors close to some of Barcelona’s best-known cultural and architectural attractions, while also providing convenient access by public transport.
Exhibition Halls and Conference Facilities
Fira Montjuïc provides flexible spaces for exhibitions, professional trade fairs and public events. The complex also includes the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona, featuring an auditorium for more than 1,600 people, additional conference rooms and exhibition areas. Current Fira information lists Halls 1, 2, 7 and 8 as operational event spaces.
Convenient Location in Barcelona
One of Fira Montjuïc’s main advantages is its urban location. The venue is situated at Av. Reina Maria Cristina, 08004 Barcelona, with Espanya metro station served by lines L1 and L3 providing direct access to the exhibition grounds. The venue is also well connected by numerous bus routes and offers approximately 1,900 parking spaces in the surrounding area.
Barcelona Sants railway station is approximately 1 km away, while Barcelona–El Prat Airport is around 14–15 km from the venue, making Fira Montjuïc convenient for both domestic and international business travellers.
Fira Montjuïc is also undergoing a planned transformation looking towards 2029, with major architectural and infrastructure projects designed to modernise the historic venue while preserving its role in Barcelona’s event landscape.
