Ahoy Rotterdam wurde im Jahr 1950 gegründet und seitdem mehrfach renoviert und erweitert, zuletzt im Jahr 2011. Die Ergebnisse der nächsten Erweiterung werden 2019 zu sehen sein, wenn das neue Rotterdam Convention Centre eröffnet wird. Es wird über 35 Säle und ein Auditorium mit 2.750 Plätzen verfügen. Das Messegelände liegt in der Nähe des Flughafens Rotterdam Den Haag und des Rotterdamer Hauptbahnhofs und ist daher auch aus dem Ausland leicht zu erreichen.
